Family & Partner Support Meetings

HIDE MY VISIT QUICKLY

We Are So Glad You Found Us

Picture
If you are a secondary survivor - a parent, friend or partner of a survivor of sexual assault - we are here to support you too.

At Mosaic-Tiaki Tangata, we understand that providing support to loved ones in the aftermath of sexual assault can be incredibly difficult, and we thank you for being there for the survivor in your life.

It's really tough when someone you love is hurting from sexual abuse.
It can be really hard to know what to do. The experience of sexual abuse for a survivor can be overwhelming. It can often profoundly affect their relationships with the people they love.

For many survivors, support is a vital part of the healing process, and receiving compassionate and validating responses from friends and family can make a world of difference.

Supporting Yourself While Supporting Your Loved One

We can work with you to help you more effectively support your loved one in the recovery process.

We can also be a positive support structure for you. It's not easy supporting someone who has experienced sexual trauma. You have to make sure you are looking after yourself emotionally, mentally and socially. We can help with that.

Resources for You - Available Now

We have some excellent resources on this website, created specifically for family/whānau, partners and loved ones of survivors. Please do check them out, and contact us if you have any questions.

Family and Partner Support Meetings

You  can come in and see us yourself, either with the guy you are supporting, or on your own first to check out what we do.

We offer couples support and we hold support groups for partners themselves where the survivors are not present.

We would love to hear from you. The role you play in the recovery of your loved one is so vital. We are here to help you in any way we can.
